EVENT GUIDE

Welcome! 

GETTING IN/OPENING: Ring the doorbell! If we aren’t on premises, we can unlock the door for you remotely. If you have been given a code, press any key on the door keypad to “wake it up”, then enter your code and press the checkmark. Once inside the hallway, if the alarm is sounding, enter the same code into the keypad to the left of the door (when you are facing the inside of the door).

DURING your event: Please have a representative inside the door to greet your attendees. If you know that everyone has checked in or you are not allowing latecomers, you may wish to lock the front door. Please listen for the doorbell or the chime that indicates the door has opened.

LEAVING: Once you have completed the closing checklist and are standing outside the building , press and hold the checkmark on the keypad until the lock engages. Push on the door to make sure it is properly locked. If you have your own entry code, please first arm the alarm (you have 45 seconds to exit the building).

LIGHTS

If you need the lights to change (color, dimming, etc.), please contact us. If you want to be added to the app to control the lights make sure to ask in advance of your event. DO NOT FLIP ANY SWITCHES!

FANS/HEAT/AIR CONDITIONING (across from the ADA bathroom door)

The ceiling fans circulate the air in the room as well as move the air conditioning or heat down into the space. The switches are near the ADA restroom and are labeled.

The HEATER SWITCH/THERMOSTAT needs to be on to run heat or cooling.

The SKYLIGHT FAN is extractive only, and is fairly loud. You are welcome to use it, but please turn it off when youre done.                                                             

MAIN FLOOR

To turn on air conditioning or heat

Leave top switch set to AUTO

Move bottom switch to HEAT or COOL

MEZZANINE

Move switch to heat or cool and set preferred temp with slider
(immediately to right when entering mezzanine) 

CONNECTING TO BLUETOOTH SPEAKER/CONTROLLING SPEAKER

Speaker name: VARI4112

Make sure the VARI speaker is plugged in and turned on via the power switch on the back of the speaker. If the speaker doesn’t show up on your bluetooth device, turn your bluetooth off and on, and press the pairing button on the back. 

CONNECTING LAPTOP TO SCREEN (on either floor)

  • HDMI-compatible device 

  • Adapter for HDMI to USB-C (for Mac)

  • Use remote control to turn on the screen and make sure input is set to HDMI-1

  • Plug camera into the device running Zoom. If your device is a Mac, plug it into the adapter. 

CLEAN UP CHECKLIST

Please do the following by the reservation end time:

  • Wash dishes and load onto drying rack/dishwasher as necessary

  • Stack chairs (only 6 high please) in the rear of the main space

  • Sweep as needed (PLEASE DO NOT MOP. )

  • Empty, clean and dry any coolers (please leave open to fully dry)

  • If trash/recycling/compost bins are full, take the full bag to the garage
    NOTE: keep all  aluminum separated in a blue bag, and place it on the curb when you leave

  • Replace trash/recycling/compost bags in inside bins as necessary

  • Take perishables with you or deliver to people who need food, ok to leave non-perishables 

  • Turn off any fans/air/heat that you turned on

  • Alert us via text or email (center@folsomstreet.org) to any issues that came up during your visit

  • Once everyone is outside, LOCK the door by pressing and holding the check mark on the keypad until you hear the door lock.
    (Try to open the door to make sure it is locked!)

Please stay alert as you leave.

WHERE TO FIND?

  • trash/recycling/compost bags and all cleaning products
    Behind the door in the small (non-ADA) bathroom to the right of the kitchen, on the shelving unit in the shower stall

  • toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap
    in ADA bathroom on shelf (extra in garage)

  • extension cords and power strips
    in garage, in marked bin

  • bluetooth speaker (Harbinger VARI 4112)
    if not in the main space, in the equipment room (tall doors on the right in the back of the main room)

LEAVING

IF YOU HAVE A DOOR CODE, enter that code into the alarm panel (to the left of the door) as you leave. After everyone is out of the building, LOCK the door by pressing the check mark on the eufy security pad until you hear the door lock. Please try to open the door to make sure it is locked!
