ABOUT FOLSOM STREET FAIR

Welcome to Folsom Street Fair, where pleasure meets protest, leather meets liberation, and visibility is an act of defiance. This Folsom Street Fair is our 42nd annual celebration of OUR communities in San Francisco. Since 1984 this event has been the largest event of its kind worldwide, and it's the culmination of San Francisco's Leather Pride season. You’ll enjoy seven community stages with performers, DJs, live music and more to draw people in and then give them local artists and artisans to buy beautiful creations from!

This is a celebration AND it’s a resistance. Against shame. Against erasure. Against every force that has ever told us to hide who we are, tone it down, or stay in line. We’re here because we refused. What began as a small circle of queers, freaks, and freedom fighters has grown into this: a street fair pulsing with power, passion, and unapologetic authenticity. In a world that polices gender, criminalizes sexuality, and commodifies identity, our gathering is sacred ground. We come together to build community, share knowledge, honor our elders, and create a space where every body, every kink, every form of expression has value—on our terms.

This is leather as lineage. Fetish as freedom. Consent as covenant.

We don’t just play - we practice liberation.
We don’t just wear gear - we wear history.
We don’t just gather - we organize.

Whether you’re a seasoned radical or just waking up to your desires, you belong here. Let this space open something in you. Learn, connect, flirt, fight for each other. Let the joy you feel today fuel the justice we all deserve.

Endless gratitude to the workers, volunteers, and visionaries who pour their labor into this event - and to every one of you who shows up with heart, hunger, and a refusal to be anything less than fully, fiercely alive.

No pride without protest.
No liberation without kink.
No future without each other.

In solidarity and sweaty, leather-bound joy,

Angel Adeyoha, Executive Director, Folsom Street
